On October 6, 1973, the State of Israel was confronting total destruction. In the midst of the Yom Kippur prayer services and the fast, the Egyptian and Syrian armies launched a colossal surprise attack. An entire country succumbed to chaos. Young soldiers, no more than 20 years old, fought alongside their fathers, who were instantly torn away from their peaceful routines and tossed into an existential war, to be or to desist. The two generations, prisoners of the illusion of power, quickly discovered the harsh reality that threatened to crush all their beliefs. They faced enormous masses of a determined enemy and got caught up in the biggest armored battle since WWII.
